I try to write lyrics that retain some of the force of real life. The dynamic relationship between form and content is nowhere more apparent than music, where depth of meaning can be balanced by simplicity. I just enjoy playing with those forces in AI.

I record with an old MBox into ProTools, but lately am using AI tools like Suno, which have opened up a whole new world of experimentation. I've been able to try out my lyrics with different musical styles, various singers, and unexpected arrangements with, I think, some pretty stunning results.
